Two weeks ago I woke up and couldn't walk...um...LOL! My back decided to give up, Ka-poot, it was scary, and humbling. So, after two visits to the E.R., 5 visits to a chiropractor, who actually got me to be able to sit up and stand, another visit to my new Doctor and with a little variation on the pain-killer, muscle relaxing and inflammation reducing cocktail I take three times a day, I'm practically like new. The pain in the beginning of this was so extraordinary that they had to dope me just so I could have a conversation. Yeah, I'm aware that I brought this on myself, I honestly thought my hip was outa place, and when that happened in the past, it usually corrected itself and I was normal in a matter of days. However, this time it crippled my sorry ass. My parents had to take care of me, help me walk, bathe me, feed me and encourage a path of wellness. I don't remember the first few days too well except for the searing pain shooting down my leg, but this was no siatic nerve injury, the chiropractor found three issues and corrected the major injury (which I have no idea how I got it in the first place) but without that series of back crackings I wouldn't be sitting in this chair, nor would I be hobbling about the work place with my attractive new accessory the 'cane'. I start physical therapy this Wednesday, I so look forward to someone making me exercise till I wanna rip their face off, good times. I go back to the Doctor on the 20th for bloodwork and assorted tests.
Keep in mind this happened while my Assitant manager was out having a lumpectomy and the President and Vice President of my company were stopping by for a visit too my store.....alrighty........anyhoo, my boss worked the shit out of my employee's and rearranged my entire store to her satisfaction whilst I was drugged out miles away. I will admit that the store does look nice, but the god damned President had a conference call he couldn't miss and they bypassed my store, ugh. I had a Doctor's appointment later that afternoon, meds switched and reduced and physical therapy starts this Wednesday. On Friday one of my younger employee's found out the lump on his neck was indeed Hodgkin's Disease. Yes, were falling apart at the Book Store.
