I'm beginning to enjoy my physical therapy somehow it feels wrong to enjoy it so much, but it seems to be working. Who would have thought that exercise would help in healing the hideous pain, granted the spasms last a few hours after the sessions and after I've recovered from the spasms it's about time to start all over. I've gotten around without the use of the cane for about 4 days now and it's now time to test my mode of transportation again, my legs. Short walks are tiring but I'm damn tired of being the crippled Cupie, it's oh so boring. Hmmmmm, one might think that a regular exercise routine might ward off complications in the future, fascinating.
Actually, there was a time when I was a treadmill junkie, I couldn't start a day without a few miles on my handy dandy Jane Fonda endorsed treadmill, until it broke and at that point I focused my attention to my computer and promptly let my body fall into ruin. Yeah, I've tried yoga and pilates but it doesn't work up sweat, and despite the fact that when I do perspire, I do so with vegence, me sweaty. This past year I invested in a recumbent bicycle hoping that it would become my new sweat inducer, sadly that has yet to happen, but I will say it's been a great place for the cane to hang and also works as a scratching post for my bitchy Siamese Sophie (there is no middle ground with that cat, am I sounding pathetic yet?). So anyways, there is more to life then just the daily routine and I like it.....twist me......bend me......make me sweat and I'm yours until I smell chocolate.
